Best Smartphones You Can Get For $200 and Less in 2017
Smartphones are now being sold at a very high or costly rate which i know most of us cannot afford, can you believe the iPhone X costs $999 and the Galaxy Note 8 costs $930, even i cannot afford this phones for myself, this is twice or thrice of an individuals monthly salary. You can opt in for an installment payment but some people cannot even afford the installment payment or would you prefer to spend $900-$1000 on a smartphone that will be replaced next two years or even one year?
But in this article, i will give a better selection of smartphones for $250 and lower, but don’t get your hopes too high and don’t expect to get high-end features such as; face recognition, curved screens or higher features like edge to edge display. Most of these smartphones make use of older chips and also run lower android versions from the range of Android 6 Marshmallow – newer Android 7.1 Nougat.
THE BEST BUDGET SMARTPHONES
The Moto G5 S Plus is my first choice and that is why it is in the first position, The Motorola Smartphone that was actually released on the 29th of September, 2017. The Motorola Smartphone only costs $230, the smartphone is the successor to its predecessor, the Moto G5 Plus. The new smartphone spots a dual rear 13MP camera, a very reliable battery life with 3,000mAh, a standard 5.5 inch display and an octa-core snapdragon 625 chipset that can go all the way up to 2.0GHz. The main reason why the Moto G5S Plus is the first on my list is because of its high Android Version, the smartphone runs the new 7.1 Nougat which makes it a very reliable and cheap android smartphone for 2017. You can also read more about the Moto G5S Plus Here, Its Specs, Price and Release Date.
The Nokia 6 is another choice for cheap and reliable smartphones in 2017 just like the Motorola G5S Plus, the smartphone also costs $230 the same price as the Moto G5 S plus, the Nokia 6 is spotted with a NFC and runs the same version (Android 7.1 Nougat) as the Motorola, it also has a 16 MP rear facing camera with a smart amplifier for louder and quality sound. For the Nokia 6, the chip is entirely different, it uses a much slower Snapdragon 430 processor, the Nokia 8 is even cheaper on Amazon while it costs only $180 so you can order yours now. ALCATEL IDOL 5 S
The Alcatel Idol 5 S is also available at a relatively cheap price, it will cost you only $200 to afford the Idol 5S with a 5.2 inch display, a 1080p sreen and also runs a similar android version with the G5S Plus and Nokia 6 (Android 7.1). The Idol 5S has a single rear facing camera with 12MP not bad for a relatively cheap smartphone. The Alcatel Idol 5 S is far better than the Nokia 6 if i must say because it uses a very fast processor (Snapdragon 625) similar to the chip in Moto G5 S Plus, the Nokia 6 has has more advantage than the Alcatel Idol because Alcatel’s smartphone uses a smaller battery so you have to charge more often. Despite the idols slightly dated design, the smartphone is known for its good quality, reliable and affordable prices.
ZTE BLADE V8 PRO
The ZTE Blade V8 Pro is a popular smartphone for selfie lovers, the Blade V8 is a compelling option and costs only $199. It spots a dual 13MP rear camera that automatically enables Portrait Mode for photo effects, a 5.5 inch 1080p display is not quite bad for the selfie queen. Although you won’t get iPhone quality images in the smartphone but its camera features and effects are absoulutely superb, it detects outlines when applying the blur. The Blade V8 runs a lower android version (Android 6 Marshmallow) unlike the Nokia 6 and Moto G5 S Plus that run Android 7.1, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 625 chip same as the Moto G5 S Plus and the Alcatel Idol 5S, before i forget do not keep your hopes to high because the smartphone does not support a NFC making it one of the few on my list to do so and a very reliable option for my users that do not want to give up Android Pay.
HUAWEI HONOR 6X
There are other reliable and cheap options in my list but we’ll cap off this roundup with two quick mentions, the Huawei Honor 6X is a very similar android smartphone to the ZTE Blade V8 Pro because of its dual cameras and it also runs a low android version (Android 6.0 Marshmallow). It spots a 5.5 Inch display for full HD quality but it does not support NFC and before i forget. The Huawei Honor 6X is built with extra fingerprint sensors, it also has a well structured metallic body and the Android skin makes it look a little catoonish if i must say. You can also take a look at our review on the new Huawei Honor 7X, its Price, Specs and Release Date.
ZTE BLADE (ZMAX)
After capping off this round there would be no more, The ZTE Blade also known as Z-Max is an android smartphone practically meant for those who want a big screen at a cheaper price, they should consider ZTE’s Blade for affordable large phones. The Zmax or ZTE Blade spots a 6 inch full HD quality display, a very large and reliable 4,100mAh battery, and dual cameras for a relatively low price, it only costs $129 which makes it the cheapest and most affordable smartphone in my list. Not that the Blade ZMax also spots a relatively slower octa-core snapdragon 435 processor but at least it is sold at a relatively cheap rate.
Last words, these smartphones have not only been reviewed by us but have also been reviewed and tested by other users around the world and we are a 99% sure of its reliability and ability to perform all its functions stated in this article. The smartphones i have listed in this article are the best in 2017 because of its relatively cheap price which makes it much more affordable for all individuals. You can start ordering now.
